AmchoPlast™
AmchoPlast is a natural biological wound cover made from human placental tissue donated during healthy delivery. Using our proprietary AGNES process, we dehydrate and sterilize the membrane while retaining all the structural properties of the placental tissue along with its key growth factors to provide a protective matrix for the wound.
A sterile, minimally manipulated, dehydrated human amnion-intermediate layer-chorion membrane allograft (dHAICM) intended for homologous use.

The AmchoPlast Advantage
What is AmchoPlast?
AmchoPlast is a dual-layer dehydrated human amnion-chorion membrane allograft derived from prescreened donors via planned cesarean delivery. The full native membrane — amnion, intermediate layer, and chorion — is preserved through minimal processing to retain the inherent biological scaffold.
The allograft incorporates a basement membrane and a stromal matrix collagen layer, providing structural integrity and biological compatibility for therapeutic purposes. It is regulated solely under Section 361 of the PHS Act as defined in 21 CFR Part 1271.
Manufactured by Cellution Biologics in compliance with FDA regulations and AATB guidance, AmchoPlast is terminally sterilized and produced following strict guidelines to maintain sterility and tissue integrity.
Key Benefits
- Preserves the full native amnion-intermediate layer-chorion architecture
- Proprietary AGNES process retains structural properties and key growth factors
- Dehydrated for ambient temperature storage and extended shelf life
- Immune privileged tissue from healthy, consenting donors
- Conforms to acute and chronic wound surfaces
- Natural source of cytokines and growth factors
- Sterile, minimally manipulated, and terminally sterilized
Membrane Composition
AmchoPlast preserves the full layered architecture of the native placental membrane — amnion epithelium, basement membrane, compact and fibroblast layers, intermediate/spongy layer, reticular layer, and chorion.

Manufacturing & Donor Safety
AmchoPlast placental tissues are procured under stringent aseptic conditions. Informed consent is obtained after thorough health history review, and each donor undergoes extensive infectious disease screening and a comprehensive physical examination.

Usage Guidelines
AmchoPlast should be applied by qualified healthcare providers following standard wound care protocols.
Assess
The wound site should be assessed and prepared for wound debridement.
Prepare
The wound bed should be cleared of all necrotic tissue and cleared of possible infections.
Size
Select a graft that adequately covers the wound geometry.
Apply
Place the dehydrated membrane directly on the prepared wound bed and secure with appropriate secondary dressing.
